Garden Ballroom Wedding – Editorial for Brides of North Texas

Few things get me more excited than garden or ballroom weddings but when the two come together, I’m in heaven. I had the privilege of working with an all-star team of wedding vendors to bring this beautiful wedding inspiration to life. Published in Brides of North Texas Fall/Winter 2018 issue.

The setting – the newly-remodelled ballroom on the 19th floor of the Adolphus Hotel in Downtown Dallas. The remodel did a beautiful job of preserving the hotel’s Beaux-Arts architecture while lightening up the space to accommodate today’s couples style. White wood panelling serves to bounce natural light pouring the large windows around the whole room.

The design was dreamed up by Whitney Bailey, owner and Lead Planner of Engaged Events a premiere Wedding Planning company in Dallas. Whitney drew inspiration from recent clients’ incorporation of the color blue into their wedding design. The soft, french blue color is a beautiful aesthetic for a classic ballroom wedding at The Adolphus. Helping bring Whitney’s vision to life is Raquel Lovern, owner of R. Love Floral in Dallas. Raquel blended the pastel palette with lush greenery to bring a garden aesthetic inside. I personally love the incorporation of greenery on a pedestal to add height to the table, visually filling the space created by The Adolphus’ tall ceilings. The greenery paired with soft, pastel blooms at eye level creates a beautifully full table. And, can we talk about this cake?! Sugar Bee Sweets created these flawless real sugar flowers and gold painted crest. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a bride incorporate REAL sugar flowers but now I’m hoping to see them come back on-trend. Our real bride modeled a classic Anne Barge gown – one of my favorite designers.

I can’t wait to have an occasion to work with this talented team again!
